Robert Guida has repeatedly been listed in New York Magazine's Best
Doctor Issue as well as the issue featuring the top "Beauty
Doctors" in New York City. The Connolly Guide of Best Doctors
has named him one of "the best doctors in New York". He has
been practicing aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in New York
since 1990.
What distinguishes Dr. Robert Guida is his extensive training
in both functional & cosmetic surgery. He is double board
certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive
Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck
Surgery.

Dr. Guida is personally involved in all aspects of his patients' operative
care. This includes placement and removal of every suture as well as all other
post-operative care responsibilities. Dr. Guida believes that delivering the
highest quality patient care requires his personal involvement and monitoring
of the entire healing process. He feels this highly attentive
involvement facilitates his patients' recovery, as he is intimately involved
and aware the healing process at every level at all times.
Dr. Guida's Training
Dr. Guida began his training at the
University of Steubenville, Ohio, where he received a B.S., Summa Cum Laude,
in Biology. Dr. Guida earned his medical degree
at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He served his residencies in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for Internal Medicine
at the Lankanau Hospital and for General Surgery at the Graduate Hospital
of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in Otolaryngology
- Head and Neck Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York
City. Dr. Guida then received his fellowship training in Facial Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University.
Dr. Guida Recognized
Dr. Robert A. Guida has received numerous industry accolades,
including an award from the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive
Surgery for directing a national course on Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
He has repeatedly been recognized as one of "The
Best Doctors in New York " by the New York Magazine
and the Connolly Guide of Best Doctors. In addition, Dr. Guida
has appeared on numerous national as well as local television and
radio programs and in print media discussing trends in facial cosmetic
surgery, including 20/20 and the Wall Street Journal. He has lectured
in the United States, Europe, Central and, South America on the
latest advances in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Guida believes in using his talents to helping the less fortunate
and has performed pro bono surgery for the poor in third world
countries of Central and South America, working primarily with
children with facial birth defects.
Dr. Guida's Academic Affiliations And Board Certifications
Dr.
Guida is currently is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Weill
Medical College of Cornell University. He was on the full time faculty at Cornell University Medical at New York Presbyterian
Hospital from 1990 until 1999 and the Director of the Division
of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery there until 1999.
He is also an attending surgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital and the
Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. He has been in private
practice in Manhattan since 1999. He is board certified in Facial
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology - Head
and Neck Surgery.
